GRADE 9

In grade nine the students are introduced to the Elements and Principles of Fine Art. Topics include: Color Theory; Shading; Linear and Atmospheric Perspective; Graphic Design; Interior Design; Fashion Design.

GRADE 12

The Grade 12 course is an advanced Drawing Course which is certified for college credit. The students who take the course earn three credits per semester toward their BA degree.

This course includes the prehistory of fine art, rules of light and shadow, rules of portraiture, metaphors of in fine art, sketching in pencil, landscape and seascape, and the laws of composition.

It culminates with a major project in which the students put into practice all of the knowledge and skill they have acquired and develop their own art portfolio.
